Safeguarding is a crucial area for charities to understand and implement proper governance. A helpful starting point is the Government online portal, which links to various resources and guidelines under the safeguarding umbrella.

Fundraising

A wide range of fundraising courses are available, from certified providers such as the Institute of Fundraising to local training opportunities provided by Local Authorities.

Digital

Digital tools—such as email, websites, social media, and organisational software—play a crucial role in charity operations. A great resource is Charity Digital, which provides access to discounted and donated technology from companies like Microsoft and Google. This is a good starting point for discovering free or low-cost digital tools for your organisation.

Two-Day Boys Child Sexual Exploitation Training

Identifying, Engaging, Understanding & Safeguarding Boys & Young Men

Back by popular demand, author and senior accredited therapist Phil Mitchell will be delivering his two-day in-depth boys and child sexual exploitation (CSE) training in Central Leeds on 16th & 17th September 2026.

Phil has delivered his training across the country to tens of thousands of professionals from organisations such as Barnardo’s, the Children’s Society, Victim Support, the NHS, NSPCC, and various local authority councils, police services, counselling services, CSE services, sexual abuse centres, youth offending teams and more.
