| Half a million children are estimated to experience some form of sexual abuse each year, yet research indicates only around one in eight cases of child sexual abuse ever reach statutory services’ attention. This week we launched our latest practice resource: Communicating with Children, a guide to support people who work with children to develop their knowledge and understanding about why children find it so hard to talk about child sexual abuse and to build skills and confidence in preparing for and supporting children to have these conversations when there are concerns. |
