In 2012 a handful of professionals working in survivor based organisations began talking about working together for the good of male survivors.
They lobbied Government, raising awareness and achieving the creation of the Male Rape Support Fund – the first ever funding specific to male survivors. They formed an organisation called The Male Survivors Partnership (MSP) in 2017 to formalise this work.
They worked with Limeculture to create the Male Quality Standards (MQS) to help ensure services who said they supported men were fit for purpose, and grew the membership to include over 60 organisations.
In December 2024 following difficulty in sourcing funding the Board agreed to close the organisation and for the work to continue and to be hosted by one of the founding members, Mankind UK.
We are keen to welcome new members to the network so please join the mailing list.
